Induction Forces

"Each of the molecules deforms to some extent under the influence of the near pole of the neighboring molecule. The induced dipoles formed as a result of this deformation, interact with each other in a similar manner to permanent dipoles (magnets for example), and this creates what are known as induction forces which also contribute to the mutual attraction between the molecules. The superposition of the forces on the orientation forces is related to the increase in length of the dipoles and results in intensification of the molecular interaction."
